The 24-year-old Actor Joel Courtney took to Instagram to announce that he got engaged to Mia Scholink, his girlfriend, on Valentine’s Day. Not only Joel but Mia also shared photos on her Instagram page expressing her happiness of getting hooked up for life with Courtney.
Declaring the News to the Public
Unveiling the news, Joel wrote, “I like it, so I just had to go and put a ring on it.” And then, he added a number of hashtags expressing his feeling of being blessed to have his partner and that he is on cloud 9, Mia is not his girlfriend anymore but a fiancé now. The text following this stated that there’s much more to come.
On the other hand, Scholink also jumped on the bandwagon and posted couple pictures while showing her Brilliant Earth engagement ring. Along with the images, she mentioned in the caption, “ENGAGED to my best friend!!! Can’t wait to marry you”. She also added some hashtags expressing her excitement of accepting the proposal and getting married soon with the love of her life.

After the news broke out officially, several celebrities took the opportunity to congratulate the new couple. Some of the top names that commented include The Kissing Booth’s Instagram account, Meg DeLacy (The Fosters star), and Courtney’s co-star Joey King.

Unlike Joel, Mia isn’t a popular celebrity. Instead, she works as a senior beauty consultant with the Beauty Corner. In addition to that, she is also touted to be a barista at Starbucks.
Instances of the Couple Spotted Together
Though there’s no clear indication of when the couple started dating, Courtney and Mia were first seen together in November 2019. Right after Thanksgiving, the first of their photos were seen on social media. Along with the images, both added captions of thanking each other that probably pointed to the expression of gratitude for meeting the other person.
Later in February, the brunette beauty moved to Instagram to post an adorable late birthday wish for Joel. In the post, she mentioned that she had been busy celebrating the day and that’s why couldn’t post a wish. And, in the same post, she expressed having Courtney in her life as a blessing.
The couple was also seen together at the premiere of ‘To All the Boys: PS I Still Love You’. Both posed for photos on the red carpet wherein Courtney was seen wearing a blue and black suit while Mia wore a dark blue dress.

Joel Courtney is returning to the film ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ as Lee. The first part showed Lee (Courtney) as Noah’s younger brother and a lifelong friend of teenager Elle (King). And, a romance popping up between Noah and Elle is putting the friendship in jeopardy. The movie is speculated to release this year with no fixed date announced yet.
